Genealogy Search Advice The free online genealogy advice feature will ask you
questions about what you already know about your genealogy. Your answers to the questions help create a free, customized plan on what
you might do and where you might look in order to develop your research more fully. This feature emphasizes online records so that it
is easier to perform your research using your computer.
Browse Ancestry's How-to Library New
articles are added all the time. Links to other topics, such as Preserving Family History and Historical Context will take you to
other parts of the "library". Something useful for everyone!

FamilySearch Internet Genealogy Service Lots of info, from a search option to how-to
articles, provided by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. You can search for your ancestors, share your information
with others and learn about the world's largest family history library, all in one place.
Genealogy.com, the Family Tree Maker site Often offering free 14 day trials, the
FTM site offers search options (you'll need a membership, free or paid for, to access the actual results almost all of the time) and
claims "In just 3 easy steps we'll help you start your family tree, search for ancestors and share your discoveries with family and
friends. So relax and let us help you get started on this rewarding journey." I've taken about a billion steps so far... I'm still
on the road, but I DO like them.
Genealogy & Family History Databases and more! This is actually Ancestry, but they've pretty
much bought up every decent genealogical domain name and changed the color scheme. Very annoying, for those of us who think we've
found a new resource, but you can't stop 'em! Every now and then, Ancestry's original site gives me a bit of trouble, but the others,
like this one, still work, so I keep both links.
NedGen Ask me what NedGen means. At first, I thought... how cute, some guy named Ned's page
with a cutsie name. But I was wrong. Ned is for Nederlands, apparently. I'd normally stick this one in a more Nederland-y place,
but close examination shows that it's got more generic genealogy stuff than Nederland-ish, so it goes here. Links to a variety of
the basic genealogy sites, but the coolest thing it's got is the option to resize the font on the page!
Irish Origins Irish Origins offers access to the most authentic Irish genealogy
collections online, including the definitive versions of Irish ancestor records and survey maps of Ireland associated with
Griffith's Primary Valuation of Ireland, the most important Irish genealogy research source prior to the 20th century, as well
as the the one-of-a-kind Irish Wills Index (1484-1858) and the 1851 Dublin City Census, accessible via a free Irish name search.
Family Search Page of LDS site A direct link to the search
page. This is the only site I've ever encountered that specifies "deceased" ancestors. Not that that means anything, it's just a
comment.
